Terms of Service

By accessing or using TruerTax (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. TruerTax is operated by TruerTax LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

TruerTax provides a free property tax analysis tool that compares your county’s assessed value against comparable sales data to identify potential over-assessments. We also offer optional paid services including professional appeal filing, and free mortgage rate monitoring.

Our analysis is an estimate based on publicly available data and comparable sales. It is not a formal appraisal and does not constitute legal or tax advice.

The Service is available to residents of Texas, Florida, and California who own or have an interest in residential property. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.

By submitting your information, you consent to be contacted by TruerTax and its partners — including mortgage lenders and financial services companies — via autodialed or prerecorded calls, text/SMS messages, and emails, consistent with the disclosures presented at the time of submission.

Consent is not required as a condition of receiving your free property tax analysis. You may opt out of communications at any time by following the instructions in any message you receive or by visiting our Unsubscribe page.

Our professional appeal service is available for a one-time flat fee of $500. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize the charge to the payment method you provide.

We do not guarantee any specific outcome from an appeal. Results vary based on county procedures, comparable sales, and individual property circumstances. If your county denies the appeal, no refund is provided for work already completed.

All content, design, trademarks, and software associated with TruerTax are the property of TruerTax LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. PROPERTY TAX ANALYSIS IS AN ESTIMATE ONLY AND IS NOT LEGAL OR TAX ADVICE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUERTAX LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
